No one plans to get in trouble, to get hurt, to hurt be filled with bad memories or to make bad decisions. The truth is that we make decisions based on what we are taught. Everyday of our lives the world teaches us "to live in the moment", "you only live once", "better do it while you are young", "it is your life do what you want", "be yourself", "don't let people tell you what to do", or "follow your heart". These "pearls" of wisdom can be found all around us and maybe even inside of the common fortune cookie, but can these pearls of wisdom be found inside the Word of God? When the storm winds begin to blow, when the ran comes down, and the flood waters rise, will you be able to stand on fortune cookie wisdom or will you be rooted in the Word of God? It is time for us to explore the world around us and see if we can identify the difference between Godly wisdom and Worldly wisdom. It is time for us to get ROOTED in the Word of God and learn to navigate away from THE CURSE OF THE FORTUNE COOKIE.
